Pauline Teresa (Ambrose) Lovitt

HAMILTON – Pauline Teresa (Ambrose) Lovitt, 81 of Hamilton, passed away Monday afternoon at Bitterroot Health Daly Hospital with family at her side. Pauline was born November 25, 1940, to Samuel and Sylvia (Pacheco-Santos) Ambrose, in Paia (Maui), Hawaii. She grew up in Hawaii and graduated from Maui High School, Class of 1959.

In July of 1959, Pauline joined the U.S. Army as a stenographer in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC). Also during that time, she met the love of her life, Lynn Lovitt. They married on July 31, 1963.

She pursued her Associates in Early Childhood Development from Cerritos College and graduated in 1978. Two years later, Pauline began her lifelong career for the Bitterroot National Forest. She and Lynn welcomed a bouncing baby boy, Patrick, and their family was complete. Lynn passed away in 2014 and Pauline enjoyed spending her time with her son and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Sylvia Ambrose and her husband of 51 years, Lynn Lovitt. She is survived by her son, Patrick (Jenny) of Hamilton; grandchildren, Kimberly of Hamilton, James (Ryley) of Pheonix, AZ, and Keely of Hamilton; sister, Patricia Hockett; brother, Samuel Ambrose; and many nieces and nephews.
