She graduated high school in 1953 and then went on to work as an operator for Mountain Bell Telephone Company where she met and married the love of her life, Tom Simpson. After many transfers with Tom's job and the birth of 4 beautiful daughters they retired to Victor, MT in 1983. They then built and ran their own tank testing business which took them on many adventures throughout the western United States.
Phyllis' hobbies included china painting, gardening, cooking, playing the piano, singing in her church choir, playing cards, and volunteering to be a judge in the local fair in which one year she won Grand Champion for her raspberry jelly. Throughout her life, she was devoted to helping not only her family but any person in need.
Her true passions and love in life was God and her family which is reflected today in the lives of her children, grandbabies, great grandbabies, brothers, sisters, and everyone's lives she touched.
Anyone who knew her saw her elegance, strength and faith in God as an Anglican.
