Reba Corrine Reynolds Falk passed away Friday, April 2nd, 2010 at her daughter's home in Cameron Park, California with family members at her side and tapes of her husband, Henry, singing country music.
Reba was born August 7, 1929 in Foster, Ohio to Charley Herndon Reynolds and Lennie Brandenburg. She moved with her family to Ravalli County where she has been a long time resident and supporter of Ravalli County. Reba attended Mt. Ellis Academy in Bozeman and then finished high school at Hamilton High.
In Ravalli County, Reba met Carl Henry Falk. They married on August 3rd, 1946. They settled in Hamilton where they raised three children which soon blossomed into grandchildren and great grandchildren. Reba was mainly a "stay at home" Mom until her children were old enough for her to work outside the home. She worked many years as Administrative Assistant for the Ravalli County Commissioners and with the local Civil Defense. She retired from her job with the County Commissioners in 1989 but continued working part time with Civil Defense as well as being a "stay at home" wife a d loving grandmother. She remained by her husband's side until his death, September 1st 2002. She was active in the community, along with playing competitive Bridge and caring for her family.
Reba loved camping, picnics, holidays, cooking, scenic drives and just being with her family. She ventured as far as Disney World to be with fmi1y and grandchildren. She would go horseback riding on pack trips to mountain lakes to be with Hank. She tried most anything and made it fun. She had tons of knickknacks for every holiday and her homemade pies and potato salad were extra special. Reba was always up for a good practical joke. She had many friends throughout the Valley.
Reba was the pillar of the family. She not only helped in times of need for her sons and daughter, she extended her love and support to grandchildren, relatives and friends in tough times. Her house was always open for support. In every role she was professional and displayed competence in all she did. We were all so fortunate to have her.
Reba was a competitor as was shown in her playing Bridge, Pinochle and board games. She loved being with all her friends.
Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Henry Falk, her father, Charley Herndon Reynolds, her mother Lennie (Brandenburg) Reynolds, brother, James Russell Reynolds and brother Raymond Clay Reynolds.
Reba is survived by daughter, Charlotte Kelleher and her husband Pat,
son, James Falk and his wife Peggy, son Dennis Falk and his wife Teren. Grandsons: Derick Falk, Dustin Falk, Nathan Chapman, Rob Waldo. Granddaughters: Lisa Falk, Alisha Loudon, Brenda Brumbaugh, Tanna Anderson, Terra Brewer. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and other extended family. God Bless You Reba; Mother, Grandmother and Friend.
