Victor - Robert “Bob” G. (Wolf) Collins, age 92, entered his eternal home on January 28, 2025. Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years and 8 months, Sandi; Children: Debbie (Jerry) Thomas, Jerry (Brenda) Collins, Tracie (Richard) Norman; Grandchildren: Candice (Bo), Tiffani (Jake), Brittani (Robert), Tess (Aaron), Dane (Sara); Great-Grandchildren: Julia, Marigrace, Dori, Mikaylee, Maddox, Baby Boy Howard in May and Baby Girl Huguet in August; Siblings: Johanna/Margaret (Dale) Waterhouse, Mary (Larry) Sparks, Glenn (Carolyn) Wolf, Larry (Vicky) Wolf; and many nieces, nephews and friends far and wide. Bob was predeceased by his mother, Roma Washburn and siblings Carole Steele and Dean Wolf.
Bob was born in Princeton, Missouri on August 5, 1932. At a very young age, he, his mother and sister moved to Pasadena, Texas where he graduated high school and then served 4 years active duty in the Air Force. Later he completed a Bachelor of Science from Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, TX. He established a career in the aircraft industry, including working as a liaison in the joint venture office at Lockheed Martin (then General Dynamics). Bob was instrumental in training F-16 fighter pilots and crew on how to operate and maintain the avionics systems in the aircraft.
At the age of 15, Bob accepted the Lord into his life. As a young man, he felt a calling to enter the ministry, serving others and spreading the message of faith and hope. Driven by a deep passion for God and His Word, Bob embraced a lifelong journey of learning, continually seeking wisdom and understanding and had around 3,000 books in his library. He took online courses in Hebrew and Greek to gain a deeper understanding of the Word. At age 90, he entered a master’s program with Liberty University studying Christian Apologetics. In addition to sharing the Word of God in his daily interactions, Bob devoted himself to officiating numerous weddings and funerals, offering comfort and solace to those in both joyous and difficult times. He had a deep adoration for the Jewish people, traveled to Israel twice and prayed for them incessantly, especially in recent months.
The family would like to acknowledge the medical professionals who provided guidance throughout the last few years:
Deb Sybrant, PAC, her nurse Georgia, and her entire team at the Providence Heart Institute in Missoula, MT. We cannot put into words how wonderful, kind, and caring Deb Sybrant and her colleagues were to Bob and Sandi.
Big Sky Hospice will always hold a special place in our hearts for their compassion and dedication to our entire family throughout our hospice journey. The entire team was extraordinary. Bob and his family loved his phenomenal nurse (angel) Jenny for her kind heart and loving demeanor.
