CORVALLIS - Robert Roland Boulay, 76, of Corvallis passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at his home from heart failure. He was born September 3, 1933 in Berlin, NH the son of George and Rose Anna (Guimond) Boulay.
Bob was raised and educated in Berlin. He left school in the 8th grade to help support his mother. Bob married Dorothy M. Vachon on September 26, 1953. He enlisted into the US Army and served as a mechanic in Colorado Springs, CO. Bob and Dot settled in East Hartford, CT where they raised their family.
Bob first started Turnpike Auto Body in Manchester, CT. He later expanded and built Bob's Auto Body which he ran and passed onto his son, James, who continues his legacy. Bob was well known and respected as an honest business man. After retirement he and Dot moved to Corvallis, MT, which he loved and enjoyed for 5 years. He felt he was in Heaven on Earth. Bob passed the way he wanted, with dignity and grace. We will hold him in our hearts forever.
Bob was a member of the French-Canadian Club of Connecticut and a life time member of the Elks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Neil (Red), Horace, Hilaire (Eli) and Paul; and his sister, Evelyn (Bebine). Bob is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his daughter, Susan (Carl) Erickson; his son, Robert C. Boulay; his daughter, Diana (Edward) Duval; his son, James (Kim) Boulay; grandchildren, Robert J., A.J., Mark, Sarah and Katherine; and great-grandson, Ian.
