Hamilton - Robert L. Cole, 77 of Hamilton passed away July 16, 2015 at his home in Hamilton.
Bob was born January 29, 1938 at the family home in Victor, Montana to the late Alva and Nina Cole. He graduated from Victor High School and then earned his BA in Chemistry from the University of Montana.
Bob married Sharon Spain on June 25, 1966; the couple just celebrated their 49th anniversary. He served as a medic in the Army Reserve and was a Forest Service Fire Fighting Crew Boss. Bob worked at the Rocky Mountain Laboratory for 40 years as a chemist.
Bob was an active member of First Christian Church, JC's, MDMH Auxiliary, Hamilton Eagles, and the "Boots and Calico" Square Dancing Club. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing and the card club.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Cole.
Surviving include his wife, Sharon; daughters, Melinda Cole and husband Murray and Diana Kostecki and husband Jim; sister, Corky Cole and her son Cole Moses; sister-in-law, Jan Cole; and grandchildren, Jimmy and Katee Kostecki.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 10th at the First Christian Church, 328 Fairgrounds Rd. Hamilton, MT with Pastor Dan Dixon officiating.
The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church "Hot Chocolate Program".
