HAMILTON - Roger D. Gorder, 79, of Hamilton passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Valley View Estates. He was born May 23, 1935 at Fort Peck, MT, the son of the late Palmer and Mildred Gorder.

Roger was raised in Starbuck, MN, where he graduated from high school. He joined the Army after attending St. Cloud State University for a time. He spent his Army years in Germany. On May 9, 1959 he married Diana Larson. He finished his education at St. Cloud and began his teaching career. He taught junior high social studies and was a driver education instructor.

Roger served as a volunteer ambulance driver as well as doing some coaching of basketball and wrestling. After leaving the field of teaching, Roger worked in the sign shop for the Minnesota Department of Transportation at Morris, MN.

Roger is survived by his wife Diana of Hamilton; one son, Jason (Brigett) of Phoenix; grandson, Tyson and granddaughter, Ava; and one brother, Donald. He was preceded in death by a son, David; granddaughter, Alexa Kay; and brother, Douglas.

At his request no services will be held. He will be buried next to his son, David, at Hancock, MN.
