HAMILTON - Rose Elizabeth Dunbar, 92, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Discovery Care Centre. She was born May 7, 1921 in Gladstone, North Dakota the daughter of the late Isador Blotzke and Anna (Meckler) Blotzke.
Rose was raised in North Dakota where she graduated from the eighth grade. She moved with her family to Hamilton and in February 1942 married Charles Dunbar, they divorced in 1959. Rose worked at several jobs in the Hamilton area including the Silver Spoon CafAC., Montana CafAC., Meuchel's Farmers Market, Joseph's House of Pizza, 23 years at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital and 11 years at the Commodity Center.
Rose enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, growing beautiful flowers, and most of all her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 7 of her 11 siblings; her son, Ronald; and her daughter, Betty. Rose is survived by her sons, Donald (Sandra) Dunbar of Woodside and Ray (Laurie) Dunbar of Hamilton; her daughter, Sherry (Mark) Raymond of Wisdom; brothers, John and Jacob Blotzke; sisters, Betty and Anna Marie Blotzke; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Paul Hinson, Jason Raymond, Jeremy Dunbar, Scott Dunbar, Kenny Wickham and Zane Dunbar.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Rose's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
