Ruby Patterson, of Hamilton, died July 8, 2014, at the age of 79, after a prolonged battle with Lewy Bodies. She was born in Paris, Texas, to Effie B. Lemmons, and Willie Albert Wright on May 10, 1935.
Ruby lived her childhood years in Oklahoma and California, she worked in cotton fields and other agriculture endeavors while going to beauty school, then moved to Arizona where she married Tim Patterson.
Ruby lived with Tim in the Globe, AZ, area until 1984, when they moved to Forest Lakes, AZ, and bought a convenience store, gas station, laundry mat and post office. After selling their business in Forest Lakes, Ruby and Tim bought a family ranch in Hamilton, MT, in 1987, where she spent the rest of her life.
Ruby lived her life devoted to her family. She was a nurturing mother, hard worker in everything she endeavored and had a love for animals and nature.
Ruby had 6 children, three of her children preceding her in death, Rossi, Michael and George. She was also preceded in death by her sister Mary Ann Jacobson, and brother Rufus Wright. She is survived by her husband, Tim Patterson of Hamilton, daughter, Sandra Koepke, of Phoenix, AZ, son Greg Patterson of Eagle Point OR, daughter Peggy Dunagan, of Hamilton. Ruby has 8 grandchilden and 8 great grandchildren.
