Ruth Ann Baltz

Ruth Ann Baltz, 85 of Darby passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at her home in Darby.

Ruth was born in November 1936 in Wilton, Wisconsin the daughter of the Harry and Freda Schindler Stratman.  She graduated from Wilton High School in the class of 1954 and then went on to the University of Wisconsin Stout where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics.

Ruth married Lowell Baltz in 1959.  She taught High School and then became a homemaker and Peace Corps Volunteer.  She served as a 4-H leader in Wisconsin and was a member of the Silver Tops Club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, tent camping, hiking, cooking, and berry picking.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving includes her husband of 63 years, Lowell Baltz of Darby; sister, Julaine Billings of Bozeman; son, Dave Baltz of Columbia Falls and daughter Barbara Bednar of Copperas Cove, TX; grandchildren, Elizabeth Bednar of Canyon Lake, TX, Elsa Baltz of Vail, CO., Mike Bednar of Copperas Cove, TX., Sam Baltz of Columbia Falls, MT., and Willie Baltz of Missoula, MT.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church in Hamilton with Pastor Vern Sandersfeld officiating.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com
