Missoula - Ryan Silsby, 25, of Missoula, MT died in rock climbing accident in the Bitterroot National Forest.
Ryan was an avid outdoorsman who loved to rock climb, cycle, hike, fish, woodwork and play guitar and ukelele.
He is survived by a large, loving family that grew with every new place that Ryan visited.
An open house style Celebration of Life is planned on Saturday, September 13 from 1-4 pm at 10005 Grant Creek Rd. in Missoula.
Additional celebrations will held in Virginia on Sept. 21 and later this month in Kansas.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Ravalli Search and Rescue, Attn: Trisha Harrison, 205 Bedford Street, Suite G., Hamilton, MT 59840.
