Sachiko Brown

November 1, 1934 — March 5, 2012

HAMILTON - Sachiko Brown, 77, of Hamilton passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula of heart failure. She was born November 1, 1934 in Tokyo, Japan the daughter of Unzaburo and Seno (Kinu) Ota.

Sachi was raised in Japan and China where she attended school. She married Richard Brown March 15, 1962 in Japan while he was stationed there with the U.S. Air Force. Sachi and Richard returned to the United States in 1965 and in 1967, Sachi was awarded her United States Citizenship.

While Richard continued his career in the Air Force they moved many times. Her favorite places were North Dakota and Alaska. They made their home in Oklahoma until their boys completed school. In 1985 they found paradise, Hamilton, MT, and returned to stay in 1986. Sachi made lifelong friends where ever she went. She enjoyed bowling and sewing. Sachi was a wonderful cook and she loved inviting people over to enjoy her Japanese food.

Sachi is survived by her husband Richard of Hamilton; 3 sons, Charles Brown and wife Selina of Oroville, CA, James Brown and wife Lisa of Van Buren, AR and Gilbert Brown of Tahlequah, OK; and 5 grandchildren, Zach and Kyle Brown of Van Buren, AR, Justin and Janae Brown of Muldrow, OK and Jackson Brown of Tahlequah, OK.
