Sam J. Pollard

Sam Pollard, 72, of Hamilton passed away Tuesday, March 2nd at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospice Center in Hamilton.

Sam was born August 8, 1942 in Dexter, New Mexico.  Following High School Sam attended college and then entered the US Army, serving in Vietnam as an Engineer.  Following his discharge, Sam worked for DCF Forestry in California for 30 years as a fireman eventually making the rank of Captain.  He retired in 1989.  He is survived by his wife Beatriz to Hamilton; sons, Keith of Hamilton, Jason Pollard and one grandson of California; nephew, Forest (Lorie) Richmond and their sons, Dane and Josh of Hamilton; sister, Minnie of Covina, CA and 8 nieces and nephews.

A military graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery at a date to be determined.
