Sherry Lynn Woodward

Sherry Lynn Woodward, 64, of Corvallis, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula. She was born August 20, 1961, in Afton, Wyoming, the daughter of Duane Woodward and Lois (Nelson) Woodward.

Sherry was raised in Corvallis and attended Corvallis Public Schools where she graduated in 1980. After graduating Sherry moved to Provo, Utah, where she spent a few years working and learning what life looked like outside the Bitterroot Valley. When she returned to the Bitterroot, she saw no reason to ever move away again.

Sherry loved being outdoors and spent as much time as possible doing yard work and taking long walks. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews while they were growing up. She enjoyed shopping and activities with family, especially on family cruises. Sherry loved her friends deeply and valued the time she spent with them. She was close to her mother and embraced every opportunity to spend time with her and talk with her on the phone.

Sherry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She looked forward to attending church and strengthening her relationship with God.

Sherry is survived by her mother, Lois (Nelson) Woodward of Midlothian, TX, a sister, Kristy Johnson (Mitch), of Lancaster, TX, and three brothers, Dee Woodward (Lavona) of Cascade, ID, Jay Woodward of Smithfield, UT, and Steve Woodward (Lou) of Midlothian, TX.

Sherry is preceded in death by her father, Duane Woodward and her sister Karla Witt.

Visitation with the family will be an hour before the service.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the Corvallis Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Interment will follow at the Victor Cemetery in Victor Montana.
