HAMILTON - Shirley Fay Morrison Ash went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 16, 2024. She was born in Hamilton October 10, 1935 to O.L. (Cy) and Beulah Clements Morrison. After graduating from Hamilton in 1953 she moved to Helena and worked as a Clerk Stenographer for the State Board of Health for two years. She then moved back to Hamilton and married the love of her life Warren Ash. Together they raised five children. Shirley loved being a wife and stay-at-home mother, sewing, reading, cross-stitching and various kinds of puzzles. She learned to play tennis, enjoying that as well as being a spectator at her kids’ sporting events and musical concerts. She was a member of Christ’s Bible Church and was very involved in the various ministries of the church. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; daughters, Vicki Ash and Patti Wolf; grandson, Andrew Topilko; brother, Leonard; three brothers and sisters-in-law; two nieces, Cathy Morrison and MaryJane Leonardi; nephew, Rusty Fieldgrove and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her husband, Warren; sister, Marjorie Leonardi; children, Sherri (Garry) Topilko of Peoria, AZ, Lindi Gueldenhaar of Hamilton and Randy Ash both of Hamilton; and son-in-law, Tom Wolf of Thompson Falls. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Toby, Caleb (Nathan), Levi and Aaron Gueldenhaar, Chantel and Jared (Brittney) Wolf, Meghann (Robert) Travis, Matthew Topilko; and five great-grandchildren, Talina, Linley, Rodrin, and Dalland Wolf, and Anastasia Gueldenhaar.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton with a reception following at the Daly-Leach Community Room.
