Stanley B. Parr

Stanley B. Parr, 75, of Grantsdale passed away on January 29th 2015 at his home. He lived in the Bitterroot Valley for the past 38 years.
Stan was born November 7, 1939 in Richmond, Indiana, the son of William and Carrie Parr. Stan graduated from Pueblo High School in Tucson, AZ. in 1957 and joined the Air Force after graduation. While stationed in Great Falls, he met and married Vivian K. Bradshaw. In 1967, he changed uniforms to Army green. While serving in the military he received his Associates of Science degree. Stan had a distinguished military career and retired in 1977 with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3. After his arrival in the valley, he finished his Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Science at Montana on the GI Bill. Stan taught at several valley schools and umpired many softball games, both which he greatly enjoyed.

Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian; his parents, two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his two sons, Howard Parr of Caddo Mills, TX; James Parr of Hamilton, MT and daughter, Deborah ParrA
