Stephen (The Taxi Man) Brent Perdue, 55, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Community Hospital after a very short illness.
Steve was born December 7, 1962 in Lansing, Michigan. He was the son of Sharon Perdue.
He graduated from High School in 1980 in Apple Valley, California. He also lived in Virginia, Florida and Nevada before he found his true home here in the Bitterroot Valley.
He worked hard all his life in the HVAC business and even had his own company for a time, Advantage Mechanical.
Steve was the father of three wonderful children, Trevyn, Amber and Shea and grandfather of Tristan, Logan, Ivy and Phoenix.
Steve and Mary met and married May 5, 2009. In 2014, they bought the Bitterroot Taxi.
He was an avid fisherman and hiker and took his children on many exciting adventures.
Steve is survived by his wife, Mary Perdue; children, Trevyn, Amber, Shea and step-son James Owens; grandchildren, Tristan, Logan, Ivy and his mother, Sharon Perdue all of Hamilton; sister, Tawney Perdue who resides in Iowa. Steve was preceded in death by his youngest grandson, Phoenix.
A celebration of Steve’s life will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Daly-Leach Chapel, 1010 West Main St., Hamilton, MT. Private interment will take place at a later date.
