Sybil Hurlston

VICTOR - Sybil Hurlston, 91, of Victor passed away Sunday, December 20, 2009 at home of natural causes. She was born May 16, 1918 in Rayne, LA the daughter of Isaac and Emma Lou (Meaux) Cain.

Sybil was married to James Hurlston for 53 years until he passed away in 1988. She was active in the Southern Baptist Churches in Louisiana, Texas, California and Montana. Sybil served in many capacities including Sunday school, WMU, the training Union, church librarian and church organist.

Sybil moved from California to Victor, MT in November of 1998 and has been a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Hamilton since 2002.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Norris Cain in April of 2009; her sister-in-law, Eva in October of 2009 and her sister, Wanda in 1992. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Coen of Hamilton; 3 grandchildren, Mark Baucum and wife Jennifer of Victor, John Baucum and wife Nancy of Modesto, CA and Kathy Motsinger and husband Steve of Independence, OR; 8 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, 4 nieces and 5 nephews.
