September 4, 1953 — September 7, 2011

CORVALLIS - Thomas Allen Partney, 58, of Corvallis went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 7, 2011. He passed away at Community Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tom was born in Grangeville, ID to Floyd and Winnie Partney. His family moved to Montana when he was a child. He loved Montana, hunting, fishing, camping and 4-wheeling. Tom just loved being outdoors, especially in the mountains. He was a carpenter like his father. Tom also was a fine furniture builder. He took great pride in his work because he was not just building a dresser, china hutch or an antique reproduction; Tom was creating a beautiful work of art for someone to have in their home.

Tom married Barbara Y. Hodges of Great Falls on December 10, 1977. They began their marriage in a small cabin up Three-mile, 40th and plum he used to call it. 40 miles from no where and plum out in the sticks. Through out their marriage they lived in other states for Tom's work but they always came back to Montana " home...

Tom and Barbara were involved in music ministry together. He loved playing his guitar for Jesus. They belong to Light Point Community Church in Corvallis where Tom was a deacon and played bass on the worship team.

Tom was a good man and a loving husband and father. He and Barbara raised 4 children together. Tom (Karla) of Missoula, Donna Rhodda of Hamilton, Dan (Amber) of Hamilton and Jamie of Corvallis. He has 8 grandchildren who brought so much joy to his life. Tom loved being Papa to Hannah (11), Daron (8), Natalee (4), Isaac (6), Jaden (5), Carson (5), Camdon (3) and Renee (1). He is also survived by his sister, Patsy (Bill) Roper of Oregon; his brother, Louis (Rita) Partney of Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his father and mother and his sister Carol. They are reunited and rejoicing with Jesus together.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made in Tom's name to a cancer organization of your choice.
