Thomas Allen Strong, 59 of Hamilton passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 13 at St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula from complications related to chemotherapy. Tom was cremated at Daly-Leach Memorial Chapel.
Tom was born in Oxnard, California to Hank and Marty Strong on April 26, 1955. A graduate of Oxnard High School, Tom went on to become a master mason. In over 30 years as a contractor, Tom created numerous masonry projects in the area. In addition to countless homes of Hamilton area residents, some of Tom's more well-known contributions to the community include the masonry of Mildenberger Motors, the Silver Coin, and additions of the hospital, library, post office, and city courthouse.
Tom is survived by his wife, Julie Lea of Hamilton; his children Dustin Strong of Newbury, California, Corilynn Francis of Stockton, California and Travis Strong of Missoula; his stepchildren Karla Rae Doebler of Hamilton, Katrina Jo Doebler of Hamilton, and Shanna Jones of Gray, Tennessee; and numerous grandchildren.
Memorials of flowers to his widow or monetary donations in memorium to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are preferred.
