Thomas L. Wright

Thomas L. Wright, 77 of Corvallis passed away of congestive heart failure, Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Marcus Daly Hospital in Hamilton.
He was born January 11, 1938 in Williston, ND to the late Adrian and Mabel Wright. He grew up in Williston and as a teenager worked on various farms and ranches. He joined the Navy at 17 and traveled round the world 7 times. On June 18, 1968, Tom married Joyce Parkowski in Williston, ND. Tom received temporary disability from Navy in Oct. 1969 and was given full disability in July 1974. The family moved to Stevensville and eventually Corvallis in 1974 where he resided until his passing.
He was a life time member of the American Legions, DAV and Hamilton Trap Club. He was a current member of the NRA. He enjoyed fishing, trap, shooting, family and friends.
Surviving include his wife Joyce of Corvallis; children, Randy (Pam) of WA., Cheryl (Dick) of Stevensville, MT., Doug (Judy) of WA., Wade and Marie both of S.C.; 2 sisters, a brother, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6th at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton with Pastor Doug Peterson officiating. Military honors will be presented by the US Navy and the Corvallis American Legion. Private family urn placement will take place at a later date.
