Tye Travis Hosko

October 26, 1990 — February 6, 2009

Tye Travis Hosko, 18, died Friday Feb. 6, 2009, in Anaconda as a result of a rare heart condition.

He was born Oct. 26, 1990, in Hamilton to Rhonda Kelton and Dusty Hosko.

After living nine years with his mother in Arizona, Tye returned in 1999 to live with his father. It was on a large cattle ranch in Solen, N.D.

Tye learned his love for horses, roping and ranching. Tye and his father moved to Ekalaka in 2003, where Tye attended school and helped local ranches during branding season.

He and his best friend Ryell Reynolds would buck out horses, go hunting, team rope, break colts or just gather cattle.

Tye was a kind, happy and trusting person and will be missed by the many that had the opportunity to know him.

He was an avid hunter; he and his father would hunt together every season, with Tye always getting the first shot.

In 2008, they moved to Wisdom. At the time of his death, Tye was attending Anaconda Job Corps to become a certified welder.

Tye was a hard worker, with many skills, working for many locals in Ekalaka and in the Big Hole, making many friends along the way.

A special thank you to the Dale Kimmel family of Wisdom and the Butch Reynolds family of Ekalaka for taking Tye into your homes and treating him like family.

Tye was preceded in death by his half-brother, Dusty Duane Hosko, his grandfather Fred Hosko, and his grandmother Judy Kelton.

Survivors include his father, Dusty (Kitty)Hosko of Wisdom, Mother, Rhonda Kelton of Arizona, grandfather Ron Kelton of Arizona, grandparents Jerry and Don Hanson of Victor and half-brothers, Steve and Joey Dahl of Butte. He is also survived by his special cousin, Jade Hosko; aunts Jolene Nichols of Hamilton, Shawna Nichols of Washington, Robin (Danny) Herron of Victor, Becky Kelton of Arizonia; uncles Cody (Twila) Hosko of Drummond, Dan (Heidi Hirschy) Hosko of Wisdom and many cousins.
