Dr. Valerie Ann Winn, PhD, 83 of Hamilton passed away peacefully on Friday September 27, 2019 at the home of her Step-Daughter, Shelley Winn, surrounded by loved ones. Valerie was born May 28, 1936 in Oakland, California the daughter of the late Norman Robert Brown and Gertrude Kate (Hammond) Brown.
At a young age Valerie completed nursing school which served as a solid foundation for her to advance her education and career. Valerie went on to obtain a Master's Degree (MFT) in counseling and then a Doctorate degree in psychology. Valerie excelled in practice in both California and then here in Hamilton and positively impacted many people's lives.
Valerie was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Winn (2016) and her Son, Eric M. Reese (2018). Valerie is survived by her son Scott A. Reese (Sacramento, CA) and her Step-Daughter Shelley C. Winn (Corvallis, MT) as well as by her Grandson Joshua Reese (Citrus Heights, CA) and her StepGranddaughter Kaelyn Sanchez (Corvallis, MT).
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers any memorials for Valerie be made to the BRHA.
