Hamilton - Warren W. Ash went home to be with Jesus on Nov. 8, 2025. He was born in Hamilton Nov. 4, 1929 to Walter Ash and Anna Bryson Ash Hughes. After graduating from Hamilton in 1948 he worked for Northern Pacific Railroad before joining The United States Navy in 1950, serving in the Korean War as a medic. He was honorably discharged in Sept. of 1954, returning to work with the railroad and eventually retiring from the railroad in 1991. He married the love of his life, Shirley Morrison Ash, July 10, 1955. They shared 69 years together, while raising five children.
Warren’s hobbies included raising dahlias and glads, gardening, woodworking, and playing tennis. He was a member of Christ’s Bible Church, teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and as a deacon.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, daughters Vicki Ash and Patti Wolf, grandson Andrew Topilko, brother Delbert, sisters Dale and Idella, four brothers-in law, two sisters-in law, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his children Sherri (Garry) Topilko of Peoria, AZ, Lindi Gueldenhaar of Hamilton, Randy Ash of Hamilton and Palm Desert, CA, and son-in-law Tom Wolf of Thompson Falls. He is also survived by grandchildren Toby, Caleb (Nathan), Levi and Aaron Gueldenhaar, Chantel and Jared (Brittney) Wolf, Meghann (Robert) Travis, Matthew Topilko and six great-grandchildren; Talina, Linley, Rodrin and Dalland Wolf, Anastasia Gueldenhaar and Ezra Travis.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 14th at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamlton.
Urn placement will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton.
