HAMILTON - Wayne Robert Rose, Hamilton, passed away to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 17th at Community Medical Center.
He was born to Alvie and Irene Rose on August 9, 1944 in Hamilton, Montana.
Wayne attended Corvallis Public School and graduated with the class of 1962. After attending Montana State University studying to be a Veterinarian for a time, he became a sawyer and was very skilled and quick in falling timber.
On December 31, 1963 he married Orvilla Woods. They had two boys, Rob and Randy.
They lived in Wisdom, Darby and Hamilton. Later he started a fox farm in Stevensville and learned the skills of making fur coats, hats and anything made of animal skins. His coats were beautiful and sold all over the US. Wayne was an avid hunter taking many large bull elk and buck deer and loved to go fishing which he handed down his skills to his sons. He even successfully tried his hand at fishing in Mexico.
After moving to Hamilton, he opened up Big Sky Designs, specializing in fur jackets and hats. Yorkies became another project and he raised and sold them.
His garden was always large and well kept. He loved experimenting with grafting apple trees.
Wayne loved the Lord Jesus Christ and had a strong Christian faith.
He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brenda, his father and mother, Alvie and Irene Rose.
He is survived by Orvie, Hamilton. His sons Rob (Barb) Rose, Randy (Tracy) Rose, Hamilton. His brothers, Larry (Sandy) Rose, Darby: Neil (Barb) Rose, Grantsdale. His sisters, Sandy (Ken) Kelnhofer, Lacy, WA: Joyce (Carl) Brown, Hamilton. His grandchildren, Monica, Tyler, Tucker, Cassidy. His great-grandchild, Amorie. And many nieces and nephews.
