William Bill Bates

William "Bill" Bates, 73 of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, December 7th at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.
Bill loved fishing, camping, gold mining and his dune buggy. He was disabled, but the word "Can't" wasn't in his vocabulary. He was an over comer who inspired others to live beyond the boundaries life sometimes imposed. The world won't be the same without him nor was it the same with him.
Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Susan; daughter Carolyn (Todd) Townsend; granddaughter Tabatha; sister Donna (Dick) Lloyd; niece Trudy (Phil) Heddington and nephew Brian (Lisa) Bates.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Jim and Jackie Bates; sister Carol Hurley; nephew Richard Bates; and his parents Bob and Clara Bates.
Private family urn placement will take place at a later date.
