William Wallace Brown

William Wallace Brown, 87 of Corvallis passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011.
He was born October 6, 1924 in Chasely, ND. the son of the late Michael and Rose Brown. Following High School graduation he began farming class. He farmed 30 acres off the Hamilton Heights Road for over 60 years. Bill also served as superintendant of the agricultural buildings for the Ravalli and Beaverhead County Fairs for several years.
Bill served in the Navy during World War II and was involved in the Battle of Okinawa. While in the Navy he was awarded the American Area Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal.
He married Shirley Lockridge on June 22, 1947.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Albert Brown and Reuben Brown and sisters, Esther Hogue and Laura Holton.
Surviving include his wife, Shirley; sons, Dennis Brown and David Brown; daughters, Pam Buntz and Susan Hardway; sister, Barbara Brown and brother, George Brown; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
