William "Bill" Wolstenholm

July 6, 1934 — February 28, 2016

William (Bill) Wolstenholm, 81 years old, of Grantsdale passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, Sunday morning, February 28, 2016.  Bill’s early childhood was filled with countless adventures with his brother growing up on many different ranches as his dad was a ranch foreman and his mom a ranch cook.  He married Dorothy Louise Morgan on June 7, 1952, after graduation; the girl that walked by the meat shop he worked at with his dad in high school that he told his mom he was going to marry someday.  They were married for 35 joyful years having their two daughters, Bev and Cheryl.  Bill served eight years in the Naval Reserve.

Bill also was the personnel manager at Evans Particle Board Plant for years and then Dorothy and Bill started their own meat cutting business, 4W Custom Cut in Victor, until he retired and closed the doors in 1990.  Bill loved enjoying the outdoors with family hunting, fishing, and planning trips. He had a zest for life that was infectious, his laughter and singing always brought a smile to those around him. He spent his last 17 years very happy with his loving companion, Kathy Hopkin.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in 1987.  He is survived by his brother, Floyd (Rosie) Wolstenholm; nephew, Kenneth; daughter, Bev (Rod) Sacks, grandchildren Randy (Christie) Sacks; great-grandchildren, Tyler (Jess) Sacks, Michael, Paige, and Jace Sacks; and  great-great grandchildren Tayton and Brinnley Sacks and granddaughter, Jamie Sacks; daughter, Cheryl  (Marty) Smith; granddaughter, Mendy (Shawn) Stanford; great-grandchildren, Courtney and Myles Stanford; and granddaughter, Shylah (Danny) Poling; and great-granddaughters, Baylie and Tayler Wright; his loving companion of 17 years, Kathy Hopkin; and her four children, Laura (Rick) Robbers, Vince (Tamera) Hopkin, Susan (Steve) Morris, and Mary (Dan) Coffman. There will be a private family burial.
