A. Paul Mogensen
1933-2022
HAMILTON - Paul departed 17 September 2022 and was being cared for at home by his daughter, son, and son in law. Paul was raised in Utah, attended Utah State College and earned his Masters of Geological Sciences at the University of Wyoming. Paul was a renowned exploration geologist who specialized in precious metals exploration across the North American continent and South Africa.
He loved spending his days caring for his large, immaculate, and tastefully landscaped yard and literally reading thousands of geological, mining, and western history books. Paul also spent several years volunteering at the Daly Mansion conducting research and presenting lectures on the Daly's and Montana history.
Paul was married to Bernie for 53 years; Bernie passed June 2021. Paul is survived by his two children, Barrie and Kurt; his granddaughter, Dana; and son-in-law, Tom.
