Alberta Henderson

HAMILTON - Alberta Henderson, 87, passed away at Beehive Homes on October 5, 2020.
She was born in Tulare, South Dakota, October 20, 1932, to Lloyd and Ida Henderson.

Alberta spent her early years on a farm in South Dakota and the family moved to Darby in 1934.  She graduated from Darby High School in 1950 and went to work for AT&T.  She spent her career in Darby, Hamilton, and Missoula.  She also moved to work in Billings for several years before her retirement.  She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Hamilton.   

Upon retirement Alberta returned to the Bitterroot, living in Hamilton and spending time caring for her sister Elaine Wright in Darby.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ida Henderson, her sister, Elaine Wright, and her brother, Gene Henderson.  She is survived by a niece, Connie (Terry) Silveria, and two nephews, Alan (Harriet) Henderson and Bruce (Kathy) Wright. 

Burial will take place at Lone Pine Cemetery in Darby.  A memorial service will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Alberta’s name to the American Cancer Society.
