Betty Curtis Obituary

VICTOR - Betty Ann Curtis, 81 of Victor passed away July 16, 2022, into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, at Community Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born July 21, 1940, in American Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Clinton and Betty JoAnna Harwood.

Betty was raised in American Falls, helping her parents on the family farm, and graduating from American Fall High School in 1958.

She married Steven Curtis and together they had 4 boys.  They moved around to many places where she always worked hard and took great care of her boys.  They later divorced.

The family ultimately settled in Victor, MT where she became a licensed practical nurse, working at Marcus Daly Hospital and many other places.  Following her nursing career, she used her talents at several other jobs.  She always loved working and helping others.

Betty was gifted at crafting, cooking, gardening, and sewing but most of all at loving and caring for her boys, their families, and many friends.

She faced challenges with grit, determination, resilience, grace, and a deep faith in her heavenly father.

We could always count on Mom to be there to support us.  She was a vocal and passionate fan at all of our games and activities.

We will miss her phone calls to check and make sure we are all ok and to tell us that she loved us.  We will miss our visits and adventures and we’ll forever treasure the time that we had with our amazing Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and friend. Betty, lovingly known as “Aunt Banny,” will be especially missed by her great niece, Kynnadi, who chatted with and entertained her almost daily until her passing.

Betty is survived by her sons, Barry, Todd (Mary), Lance (Lonnie) and Kyp (Whitney).  Grandchildren, Nikki, K.J., Taylor (Kelsey), Haley (Braden) Poole, Spencer (Elizabeth), Shannon, Sydonia, and several great grandchildren. Her daughter-in-law Denise Hurless.  Her sister Jan (Bill) Eckersley and their daughters Jordyn and Madysen.

Cremation has taken place and burial at the Corvallis Cemetery will take place at a later date.
