CORVALLIS - Carl Alexander Bolick, Jr 80, of Corvallis passed away at home surrounded by family, Tuesday November 2. 2021, after fighting a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. He was born February 2, 1941, to Mary Rebich Bolick and Carl A Bolick, Sr, and grew up in Dillon, MT.

He attended Beaverhead County High School and went to Carroll College, transferring to Western Montana College where he earned his BS degree. He later received his MBA from Central Michigan University.

Upon graduation from college, he joined the US Air Force where he attended Officer Training School. He served in Vietnam as a Telecommunications Officer from 1966--1967. In 1971, he was approved for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations and attended the OSI Academy.  In 1978, he was appointed AFOSI Detachment Commander at Mountain Home Air Force Base, ID. He retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1983.

In civilian life, he worked for JP Morgan Chase Bank, in New York City, as an International Security Officer. He was promoted to Vice President and Assistant Director of Security Operations before retiring in 2001.

He moved back to Montana and settled in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. In 2013, Carl and Sharon Foraker married in Maui, HI. They loved to travel and experienced many beautiful places in the US and abroad.  He enjoyed being a private pilot and flying his plane.

 He was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 1651, in Hamilton, and belonged to Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Carl Bolick.

Survivors include his wife Sharon of Corvallis, daughter Jennifer (Todd “Tater”) McKay of Dillon; son, Jonathan Bolick of Tokyo; grandson, Ty McKay; granddaughter, Jordyn McKay both of Dillon; and sisters, Veronica Bolick and Claris (Larry) Yuhas of Dillon.

Services will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Daly-Leach Chapel with a reception following. Pastor Paul Anderson will be officiating. Ashes to be spread at a later date. A Celebration of Life at his residence will be held in May 2022.
