Obituary

Edith Ellen "Sally" Neilson, loving widow of Jerry Neilson, passed away peacefully on November 14th. Sally got her nickname having been raised by officers in the Salvation Army, and was referred to as "the Sally kid" - the nickname stuck. Sally loved life and people. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making people laugh. An avid knitter, many newborns in many hospitals were gifted a knitted cap of Sally's making. Sally ran her own market research firm for fifty years.
Sally is survived by her daughter Betsy Hiatt &Husband Jason, son Jeff Spencer & wife Jeni, stepdaughter Ashley Bonnes & husband Bill, stepdaughter Teri Horn and 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry, daughter Katie and grandson Scott. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Humane Association of Hamilton (or some other charity - this is a suggestion). A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
