Gary Rouse Obituary

Gary L. Rouse went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, November 29, 2020 at his home with his family.  The son of Franks and Maude Rouse, Gary was born March 22, 1937 in Hamilton. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1955.  He was the first recruit to join the local National Guard unit in 1954 and served for 8 years.

He met the love of his life and best friend Judy, and they were married on March 22, 1959.  In 1960, Gary started his electrical career under Johnson Electric.  Gary and Judy purchased the business in 1971 and opened Rouse Electric until they retired in 2003, they also had a small farm where he enjoyed raising cattle and horses for back packing.  He attained his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying, along with skiing and lots of lake fishing with Judy’s brother Bryan and wife Pat.

He learned how to scuba dive and he and Judy loved to dive with their son, Eric in tropical waters even swimming with sharks. After retirement he found a talent for writing poetry and enjoyed sharing his poems with friends and thanking God for his gift he so enjoyed.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Judy; son, Eric (Brandie); grandchildren, Mauren and Walker; step-grandchildren, Brennan and Caden and many nieces nephews.  He was preceded in death by his son, Bret; sisters, Margaret Ferguson and Pat Lear.

He was loved by his family and will be sorely missed.

Due to Covid-19, there will be a celebration of life service at a later date.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com
