Geraldine “Geri” Ann Sitko, 82, surrounded by family members, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2020.
She was born April 26, 1937 in Chicago to Frank and Anna Sliva, the third of twelve children. She married Edward Paul Sitko (dec) in 1959 with whom they raised five children: Edward John (Rita), Richard (Annamarie), Joseph, Carolyn (Reagan Elliot) and Cory. Over the years she resided in Illinois, Arizona, Washington and Montana. Big-city girl, dairy farmer, mom and grand-mom; amazingly she never learned how to drive.
In addition to her five children, she leaves behind seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
For many years she resided at The Manor, Sapphire Lutheran Homes in Hamilton, Montana where she made numerous friends and was very active.
Feisty but loving, devout in her faith. She was an enthusiastic member in a choir. Her other great passion was being physically active, especially walking. She would often walk considerable distances and enjoyed the trails along the Bitterroot River.
She walked with the Lord in a manner worthy of her God who called her into his kingdom and glory. She was a blessing to all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Gospel Fellowship Church, Hamilton, Montana on Wednesday January 29th at 4pm. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
