Janice Dawn Scott, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home in Hamilton, Montana on March 20, 2023, in the company of family.
Janice was the first daughter of the late Gordon and Lois Pedersen, and was preceded in passing by her brother, James, and sister Jaqueline. She was the widow of E. David Scott, her second husband, who passed on in 1997. She is survived by her son, Barton W. Ulrich, (Kinya (Phillips) Ulrich), her daughter, Sandra K. (Scott) Dokter, (David Dokter), three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews and their families.
Janice was born in Chicago on September 17th, 1942. She lived in Ft. Lauderdale for many years, graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School in 1961, and lived in several other places around the country throughout her life, moving to Montana to be near her son and daughter-in-law in her golden years.
She enjoyed travelling in her youth and visited many countries all over the world. She loved needlepoint and crafts, and she was a good storyteller.
Janice was a Jehovah’s Witness and took great comfort in her faith and hope of resurrection. Her friends from the Kingdom Hall were a wonderful source of help to Kinya and Bart in caring for her in her last years.
The family extends special thanks to Kallie and Barry with Bitterroot Hospice for all their help and care.
At Janice’s request, no services will be held.
