Jeffery Jory Obituary

Jeffery L. Jory, 63, of Hamilton passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of April 1, 2021.  He was born September 26, 1957 in Stockton, California to Robert E. and V. Elaine (Tyndall) Jory.

Jeff was raised in Stockton, Ca.  He graduated from Franklin High School class of 1975.  Soon after graduating Jeff bought a Kenworth and began working as “Jammin” J. Jory.  Mostly working locally hauling sand and gravel.  With two children from a previous marriage, he was a member of a local club Parents Without Partners.  This is where he met his soul mate and wife of 35 years Inez who also had two children, which made them a well-balanced blended family.

Jeff sold his truck and moved his family to Hamilton in 1992 where he quickly was employed by Blahnik Construction, transporting heavy equipment, asphalt etc.  Later being hired on with the Montana DOT as a highway maintenance tech. until present.  He was planning to work until the age of 65 but, was unfortunately struck with cancer which, in turn forced him into retirement.

Jeff was an avid outdoorsman.  Loving the mountains in every aspect that they offer.  Dirt bikes were one of his favorites.  Camping, fishing, hiking, and things outdoors made him much happier than staying at home.  His grandkids meant the world to him.  He showed them all the good things in the outdoors.  He took them camping, fishing, hiking, even carrying the youngest up and back down from Blodgett overlook.  The Best Grandpa/ Great Grandpa Ever.

He also loved traveling to Oklahoma to see the kids and grandkids, and riding his Harley Davidson with Inez and friends.  Jeff was the best husband and father who took pride in all that he did.  He will truly be missed by everyone.  He was the kind of man that had no enemies.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Inez of Hamilton; son, Waylon (Alicia) Jory, and their children, Savanah, Daltyn, and Kathryn of Jay, Oklahoma; son, Joseph West and Maria Garrett of Hamilton; daughter, Jennifer (Christopher) Blish, and their children, Sean, Avari, and Kyis of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; daughter, Jennifer (Armon) Meis and their children, Kelsie and Aostun of Hamilton; two great grandchildren, Jayden and Jordan of Georgia; Momma, Elaine of Stockton; sister, Julia (Stan) Jacobson of Texas; brother, John (Georgia) Jory of Stockton; brother, James (Brenda) Jory of Stockton, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Especially his furry feline, Moe.
