Joanie D. (Vurdulas) Musgrave

DARBY, MT - Joanie (Vurdulas) Musgrave, age 83, of Darby, MT, formerly of Fairfield, IL, passed away on May 15, 2023, at the West Hills Assisted Living Facility in Hamilton, MT. 

Joanie enjoyed adventures in the great outdoors.  She loved fishing, traveling, a good movie and reading.  She and her husband lived in Florida, Minnesota, & Ontario finally settling in Montana. 

She shared a part of Fairfield IL’s past Greek immigrant businesses and history. The Fairfield Candy Company was managed by her father John Vurdulas, who immigrated to America in 1907.

Joanie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nelle (Farris) Vurdulas; a sister, Stravula Vurdulas; grandparents, Sam and Myra Farris; and aunts, Sade Rinkel and Fern Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Musgrave; sister Penny (Nolan) Simpson, of Paducah, KY; niece, Angela Schipp; nephew, Travis Simpson; 4 great nieces; and her cousins: Elosie Bowdon, Sue Meier, both of Vincennes, Indiana, and Dan Bowdon of Newburgh, IN.
