CORVALLIS - Joseph Stravens, age 21 of Corvallis, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022. It is with profound sorrow and broken hearts that we say, See you later, to Joseph Edward Stravens. “Joe” to his friends, and “Joey” to those of us that loved him the most, was born November 20, 2000, and taken from us, way too soon, on March 28, 2022.
Joey grew up and attended school in Corvallis, Montana. He was a bright light in our lives, who every day - for 21 years 4 months 8 days – brought us laughter, love, and joy. Joey was a true “Hollar Boy” to his friends and family; always a phone call away. He was up and out the door to the rescue. Joey loved his mama, his cat, motorcycles, four-wheeling, and diesel trucks. As a younger boy, he loved spending time with his Grandpa Joe and would often accompany him on his truck driving jobs. If the afterlife is the paradise we have been promised, we know that Joey is now driving around in his big Ford diesel, with Grandpa Joe by his side.
Joey is preceded in death by his grandparents, Donna & Stephen, and Sonie & Joe; grandpas, Bob and Orvil; aunt, Debbie; and uncle, Wayne.
He is survived by his parents, Don & Michele; sister, Stephanie; aunt, Cindy; cousins, Chris & Ryan; uncles, Jeremy & Rob; best friend, Adam; as well as too many other friends and extended family to list.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at Riverview Cemetery. A reception will follow at 656 Fish Hatchery Rd., in Hamilton. Feel free to bring photos and stories to share. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Joey’s name, to the Bitterroot Humane Society, for the cat enclosure.
