Kevin S. Campbell, 40, of Corvallis, MT passed away due to complications from cancer, October 9th, 2020 at St. Patrick Hospital.
Kevin was raised and attended school in Corvallis graduating in 1998. He then joined the Navy and served on the USS Constellation, stationed in San Diego, for 4 years. He married Tiphini Baecht in 2000. Upon completion of service the two returned home to Hamilton and settled in to life in the valley. They had two children, Craig and Natalie in 2005. Kevin was a supervisor of many large projects for the family business, Montana Timber Structures. The remainder of his career was spent working closely with his father.
Kevin’s passion, where he spent the majority of his time, was outdoors enjoying life with family and friends. Any given weekend Kevin and crew were headed to the hills to go wheeling in the jeep. Fishing, hunting or just enjoying the great outdoors sharing a drink and laughter around a campfire was his idea of perfect. He was a devoted father to his children. Kevin was a loving partner to his significant other, Vanee. His friends and family were his whole world. Kevin’s warm nature made him everyone’s friend, always willing to help where needed no matter the circumstances. His sense of humor helped him as well as loved ones to get through tough times, all the way to his last days.
Kevin is survived by his parents Merlin and Randy Campbell of Corvallis, Sister Kristine Peterson (Justin) nephews Brooks, Declan, and Zane of Billings, children Craig and Natalie, former wife Tiphini Campbell of Corvallis (Jerry and Juanita Baecht of Hamilton), and Significant other Vanee Simonsen of Stevensville (Vaughn Simonsen of Torrington, WY).
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 am at Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton. There will be a reception immediately following on the patio at Fins Tap House in Corvallis, MT.
There has been a memorial fund for Craig and Natalie set up at TrailWest Bank.
