Raymond F. Anderson

HAMILTON – Raymond F. Anderson, 79, of Hamilton passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at his home of natural causes.  He was born February 21, 1943 in Concord, CA the son of Russell and Agnes Anderson.

Ray’s family moved to Montana when he was 3 months old.  He graduated from Hamilton High School and enlisted into the U.S. Air Force.  Ray served 1 tour of duty in Vietnam where he learned how to embalm.  He was also the head bartender in the Officer’s Club.  After his honorable discharge, Ray went to the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. 

He married Kathy J. Posey in 1968 and together they raised 2 sons while living in California.  Ray and Kathy owned and operated a residential care facility for 48 years.

Together they retired to Ray’s parent’s farm and he enjoyed the Montana life until his passing.  Ray was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, William Anderson.  Ray is survived by his wife, Kathy, of Hamilton; 2 sons, Russell William Anderson and wife Joy of Lodi, CA and Kevin Lee Anderson and wife Suzanne of Ripon, CA; and 2 grandsons, Tristan and Nicolas Anderson both of Ripon, CA.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Daly-Leach Chapel with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 am.  Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton with a reception following in the Daly-Leach Chapel Community Room.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
