Sandra Lee (Printz) Clarkson

Sandra L. Clarkson, 71, of Hamilton passed away at the Marcus Daly Hospice Center on Friday November 8, 2019.

She was born February 21, 1948 in Hamilton to Royal and Eve Printz and joined her brothers Doug, Merrill, Paul and Jay. Her brother, Ken, joined the family the following year.

Sandi grew up in Hamilton attending local schools and graduating from Hamilton High School in 1966. After graduation she began a career in bookkeeping. The businesses where she worked include Mellott Motors, Hazeltine Motors and Bitter Root Drug. In addition to bookkeeping, she drove school bus for fourteen years. She married Pete Clarkson in Hamilton March 10, 1973. The couple raised three sons Jon, Steve, and Jim.

Sandi enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She also liked to do crafts such as painting ceramics. Sandi was fond of all animals especially her dogs, which she dearly loved. She rescued a number of dogs and each was spoiled and received special care.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother. She is survived by her husband, Peter; her three sons, Jon his wife, Magda, and children, Ashley, Gabriella and Jacob residing in Chula Vista, CA, Steve and wife, Sherry, in Weston, FL, Jim and wife, Holly, and daughters, Kyla and Kanon in Clarkson, NE; her brothers Doug (Linda), Merrill, Paul, Jay (Janie) and Ken (Sharon) and their families plus numerous other relatives.

There will be no services at her request and a private interment at Grantsdale Cemetery.  The family suggests memorials to the Bitterroot Humane Society.
