DARBY - Scott Clifford Marine Sr. was born March 3, 1949 in Santa Monica, CA to Hazel Dunham and George Marine. He grew up in Potter Valley, CA. Later they moved to Fernley, NV. His life was full of adventure. He played football and showed livestock in high school. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1968-71, earning 3 Purple Hearts. Later he worked as a private investigator, police officer, and as a volunteer fire fighter. He proudly belonged to the American Legion and VFW. He publicly spoke to children about Vietnam and being a veteran.
He loved an adventure, but his greatest love was his family. Scott is survived in life by his wife, Cheryl Hoke-Marine; his sisters, Tracy Singley, Cindy Neiman and Melanie Halcro; his brother, Craig Marine; his children, Scott Clifford Marine, Jr., Stacy Lynn Dean, Hope Ann Perry, William Walter Perry and Angela Renee Jarrett-White; his step- children, Jerry Hoke, Edna Cole, Bruce Hoke and Jack Hoke. He proudly had 42 grandchildren and 36 great children. He was preceded in death by step-daughter, Labecca; and his brother, Kurt Marine. He will be greatly missed by many.
