Vera H. Grasser

HAMILTON – Vera H. Grasser, 82, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2023 at Bee Hive Homes in Hamilton.  She was born December 20, 1940 in Portland, OR the daughter of Edward and Vera Sehorn.

After high school, Vera attended Oregon State University before graduating from the University of Montana with a teaching degree.  She then taught school in Bend, OR and Darby, MT.  Vera met Bill Grasser and they married in 1968 and together had 2 children, Judy and Scott.  They later divorced and Vera and the children moved to Portland, OR. 

Vera was a substitute teacher for several years before eventually working for the Presbytery of the Cascades until her retirement.  She moved back to Hamilton in 2011 to be closer to her children.

Vera is survived by her children, Judy and husband Mike Maki and Scott and wife Jennie; and her grandson, Tristan Wright.
