I was a little shocked to her about Mum passing. Especially around Christmas. I know she loved this time of year. And for almost 30 years we always got a Christmas card from her and a birthday card and an anniversary card. It was truly an honor and pleasure to have known her. Will always remember her approach to life and how she was brutally honest. You always knew where she stood! She will be missed!

I first met Joyce when I went to the Golden Age Dances with my dad. Joyce was such a pleasure to be around..... full of spirit and smiles.... and I never heard her get involved in the kitchen gossip! And, boy, what a wonderful dancer she was! Later, I had a chance to spend more time with Joyce and that was also a pleasure. I affectionately (and aptly) started to call her 'Miss Sassy Pants" . I really feel honored to have known Joyce and to have been able to spend time with her. My condolences to her family. I know she was well loved.

Joyce was such a blessing to me in the last 3 and half years of my life. My own mother had passed away about a year before I met her and she became like a second mom to me. Last Friday she said to me "You are more beautiful every time I see you." That was one of the kindest things anyone has ever said to me. I want to thank her family for allowing me to be in her life and with her at the end.
