Lance was my second to last missionary companion before coming home. We had a connection because he was from Western Montana and I was from Northern Idaho. He surprised me when he drove from Darby to celebrate my marriage at my wedding reception.
I just recently learned of his passing while serving in the temple. I met the Bishop of the Darby ward and asked if he knew my mission companion. It was then that he told me of funeral that recently took place.
Please share my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Lance. He was a joy to serve with and a great companion to spend some of my last months in California.

Our family was so sad to hear about Lance. I have so many memories of our families growing up together. . .lots of memories, and Lance was a part of that. For many reasons, our families will always be entwined. I am sure that Brandon and Jack were happy to see him. We share your loss and sadness and want you to know that we are thinking of you all.
